Responsibilities

The RMS Manager is responsible for the entire operational management and leadership of the RMS Department including responsibility for its performance, development, resources and activity through a delegated budget.

  • The post holder must make professional/operational decisions on a daily basis within RMS.
  • Judgements are required which require in-depth specialist knowledge of RMS procedures and policies.
  • The post holder has a high level of autonomy and as the ultimate decision maker is expected to act on own initiative within an area where there are multiple objectives.
  • This post involves multi-tasking on a varied spectrum of different complex issues, whilst ensuring that targets and deadlines are not compromised.
  • The post holder is required to manage Referral Management Service within resources

Additional Information Specific to the Role
In addition, this post on occasion may be required to provide cover for Health Records Service Managers.
