HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR - CENTRAL LONDON / SOUTHERN REGION

Salary: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum
Location: Central London (with travel across the South as required)
Reports to: HSEQ Business Partner - Specialist Services

REQUIREMENTS

  • NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent (essential)
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Health & Safety role within a construction or industrial setting
  • Experience within nuclear or highly regulated environments (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of HSE systems and practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to analyse safety data and drive change through practical solutions
  • High levels of IT literacy and confident in preparing reports and presentations
  • Chartered MIOSH status or working towards (desirable)
Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll work across a variety of specialist projects, including nuclear operations, cleanrooms, infrastructure, and electrical & instrumentation. You’ll partner with operational leaders to advise, guide, and implement best practice across Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).
Your input will directly shape safety culture and performance, from pre-construction planning through to site delivery. You’ll also contribute to broader HSEQ initiatives, investigations, and strategic improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Advise project teams on all aspects of health and safety compliance and best practice
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, and support risk assessments and method statements
  • Lead or support investigations into incidents and near misses, driving improvements
  • Help shape and deliver HSE improvement projects and initiatives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with site managers, project leaders, and subcontractors
  • Influence safety culture across multiple high-risk, regulated environments
  • Contribute to pre-qualification processes and HSEQ components of bids and tenders
  • Prepare and present data-driven insights to leadership teams
