The Health & Safety Advisor will ensure all company policies, processes, and health and safety legislation are adhered to across all sites. This role is fully site-based on projects throughout Europe. Role Summary The Health & Safety Advisor will work closely with site and management personnel to maintain and improve health and safety standards, promote a proactive safety culture, and ensure compliance with legal and company requirements. The role includes auditing, training, risk assessment, and oversight of plant, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE) across multiple sites. Key Responsibilities Develop and conduct audits, toolbox talks, and training activities. Maintain and implement an internal Safety Management System. Ensure compliance with, and continuous improvement of, Safe-T-Cert accreditation. Support employee wellness and mental health initiatives. Manage all CRL plant & equipment, ensuring certification is up to date and registers are maintained. Monitor legislative updates and ensure timely application of changes. Present health and safety progress updates to Company Directors during site audits. Conduct regular Health & Safety audits across sites. Manage PPE distribution and records, ensuring all sites and personnel are appropriately equipped. Review and update Risk Assessments and Safe Operating Procedures regularly. Complete Safety Induction Training for all employees and subcontractors, maintaining documentary evidence. Investigate, record, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses, implementing corrective actions promptly. Identify ongoing or new training requirements, recommending additional health and safety training where necessary. Champion positive safety behaviours and culture among site operatives, foremen, managers, and subcontractors. Manage CRL yard/stores area, ensuring it is safe, tidy, and organised, delegating tasks to the CRL Stores Manager as required. Attend regular Health & Safety meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Level 7 Degree in Occupational Health and Safety. Minimum 5 years’ experience in health and safety, preferably in the construction sector. Strong communication skills and ability to influence and engage site personnel. Proficiency in IT, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook; Microsoft Project is advantageous. Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. Strong team player with proactive approach to safety leadership. Full, current driving licence. Applicants must be current Irish or European passport holders.
