Description

We are seeking an experienced Health & Safety advisor to join our busy and growing company. The Health & Safety advisor will be responsible for ensuring that all safety standards are met and adhered to across a portfolio of projects.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5 years proven experience in a Health & Safety role, telecoms industry would be desirable.
  • NEBOSH General or Construction Qualification (Or Equivalent) would be preferred.
  • Knowledge of the rail industry would be advantageous but not a prerequisite.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise workloads.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office packages, ideally with an intermediate to advance level in Excel and Word.
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of the team.
    This role is a hybrid role, you will be required to attend our office based in Thame, Oxfordshire regularly and attend client sites as and when required.
    We offer a competitive day rate dependent on experience.
    Please note that this is a fixed-term, self employed contract position.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Health & Safety team with developing and implementing policies/procedures and risk assessments.
  • Provide general daily support for the team with any administrative tasks.
  • Review customer health & safety packs, ensuring that all foreseen risks & hazards are captured in company documents.
  • Daily production & distribution of method statements and Risk Assessments throughout the company and clients.
  • Implementing and maintaining project Health & Safety documentation.
  • Investigate any near misses or incidents to identify any root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Undertake onsite Health & Safety inspections, audits and risk assessments as and when required across various projects.
  • Liaise with internal and external clients to obtain all necessary site information and attend pre start/client meeting as required.
  • Stay up to date with relevant regulations, standards and best practices to ensure company compliance.
