Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading organisation on the appointment of a Health & Safety Advisor.
As a Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a key role in supporting the Compliance & Sustainability team and ensuring group-wide Health & Safety objectives are achieved.

• Supporting the delivery of the organisation’s growth strategy, embedding compliance and promoting a positive safety culture across all sites
• Working closely with production and distribution teams to develop a strong understanding of operations to enable effective risk assessment and safety planning
• Completing scheduled depot compliance audits, ensuring health & safety controls are effectively implemented, maintained and documented
• Reviewing and updating risk assessments and safe systems of work for all processes and operational activities
• Attending monthly operations meetings and providing input on health & safety performance and compliance
• Delivering toolbox talks, training sessions and safety communications to support risk reduction strategies and strengthen employee awareness
• Ensuring all contractors meet compliance requirements, including the review of documentation and issuing of permits to work
• Maintaining accurate records of accidents, near misses and spills, ensuring the database is kept up to date
• Supporting investigations into incidents and assisting in the identification of root causes, corrective actions and follow-up measures
• Working alongside Environmental and ROI Health & Safety colleagues to deliver on group-wide compliance objectives
• Assisting the Compliance & Sustainability Manager in the implementation of an enhanced health & safety management system
