QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in an HSE capacity involving the planning, management, and implementation of HSE protocols.
  • Hold a post-secondary degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Preference given to candidates with NCSO certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in OH&S Acts and other pertinent legislation.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be willing to travel to various locations; a valid driver’s license is required.
  • Exceptional leadership qualities with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Strong organizational skills with an acute attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
  • Proficient in time management, adept at multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct daily site inspections, meticulously documenting findings and generating comprehensive reports.
  • Develop and refine Health, Safety, and Environmental policies and procedures, tailoring them to specific project sites.
  • Oversee the administration of safety training documentation, proactively identifying expired certifications and facilitating re-training initiatives.
  • Ensure strict adherence to legislative requirements, conducting thorough worksite inspections to uphold compliance standards.
  • Spearhead the development of protocols for safe work practices, consistently striving to enhance our HSE management system.
  • Prepare Job Task Analyses to identify potential hazards and mitigate risks effectively.
  • Deliver toolbox talks and provide training sessions in response to incidents or safety concerns raised by employees.
  • Conduct safety training and orientation sessions for personnel.
