Job Summary This role is responsible for implementing and sustaining a positive health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture across low-complexity site(s) through effective application of the Cummins Management Systems Framework. The position establishes both short-term and long-term HSE strategies, leads programs, policies, and assessments, and monitors performance to ensure compliance with Cummins internal requirements, applicable regulations, and industry standards. The role requires strong collaboration, technical capability, and the ability to influence and drive continual improvement. Key Responsibilities 1. Culture & Stakeholder Engagement Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure clarity of HSE roles and responsibilities. Engage employees at all levels by involving them in the development and implementation of programs, policies, and procedures. Influence and sustain a positive HSE culture across the site(s). 2. Risk Identification & Compliance Lead hazard identification, environmental aspects evaluation, and risk assessment programs. Identify compliance gaps and opportunities for strategic HSE improvements. Manage planning activities and support setting measurable HSE targets and objectives. 3. Program Leadership & Execution Lead daily HSE operations including regulatory compliance, capital/resource management, risk reduction, incident investigation, and management of change. Manage contractor safety, emergency preparedness and response, pollution prevention, and sustainability programs. Ensure all HSE support content is updated, controlled, and accessible while adhering to data privacy regulations. 4. Reporting & Performance Monitoring Use a risk-based and data-driven approach to drive improvements in HSE performance metrics. Adhere to Cummins internal reporting requirements using approved systems. Evaluate legal compliance findings, audit results, and incident trends to develop and implement improvement plans. Lead annual HSE Management Systems Review for the site(s) in alignment with Cummins requirements. 5. Cross-Functional Support & Issue Resolution Work collaboratively across functions to resolve incidents, non-compliances, and corrective or preventive actions. Ensure thorough documentation and follow-through of all improvements. 6. Leadership, Coaching & Development Coach and develop direct reports or cross-functional team members based on feedback and organizational needs. Seek opportunities for personal development through professional HSE organizations and emerging industry trends.
