Be a trusted advisor driving safety culture across diverse portfolios Lead proactive risk management and wellbeing initiatives Join a team committed to making a difference for Aotearoa Permanent role, based in Auckland, with regular travel to Northland Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity We’re looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner to champion high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across the Agency. In this role, you’ll provide expert advice, drive continuous improvement, and embed a proactive safety culture across varied operational environments. You will: Be the key contact for HSW across assigned groups and regions Support risk and control management, action plans, and incident investigations Implement HSW policies and standards Deliver monthly performance reports and trend analysis Engage with internal teams and external partners to strengthen HSW practices Promote wellbeing programmes and initiatives across the organisation Travel to project sites in your region to engage with local teams and be an advisor Further details about this position can be found here: Position Description Ko koe tēnei | About you You’ll bring: Subject matter expertise in Health, Safety and Wellbeing Experience with HSW management systems and safety investigations Experience in working with contractors and third parties Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills Ability to present at leadership meetings and influence decision-making A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience Diploma or Certification in Health and Safety (or working towards it) You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.
