About the role  The Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HS&W) Partner will act as the first point of contact for the Infrastructure Directorate and provide advisory and operational support for the delivery of workplace safety and wellbeing compliance in accordance with legislation, certification, accreditation and internal governance. The HS&W Partner will support the effective management of a range of day to day operational safety and wellbeing matters ensuring services deliver maximum value to our internal customers and the organisation as a whole. You will provide specialist advice and support on a broad range of safety matters including risk assessments, incident reporting and investigations, managing the HS&W inbox and responding to queries from employees, volunteers and contractors.    This is a temporary full time or part time (.8) role based at the Operations Centre (minimum 2-3 days) and the Civic Centre until 31 July 2026. We support flexible working arrangements while ensuring operational needs of the role are met.  This is a Band 6 classified role. Remuneration will be $98,353.35 to $107,416.64 (depending on experience) (pro-rata for part time) plus superannuation in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee.  What you will deliver during this period: Key responsibilities include: * Supporting business partnering within the Infrastructure Directorate * Maintain 2-3 days per week, on-site presence at the Operations Centre, including: * Workplace inspection support * Dangerous goods and hazardous substances risk management compliance support * Level 1 incident receipt and processing within Elumina (restricted to allocated incidents) * Immediate incident support, including: * Post-incident contact with reporting parties * Escalation of injury reports to the Injury Management Partner * Escalation of incidents requiring further investigation This role will provide immediate frontline coverage, maintaining a visible HSW presence and consistent triage capability, while ensuring escalation pathways are effectively managed without overloading existing resources. What you will bring to this role   The key selection criteria for this role are:  * Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to prepare high quality reports, relevant documentation and training sessions to all levels of staff related to safety and wellbeing. * Proven competency in the provision of expert advice, excellent customer service and administrative functions of collaborative case management. * Demonstrated experience with developing and implementing contractor safety management programs. * Demonstrated ability to assess safety documentation, identify shortfalls and provide recommendations for improvement * Ability to influence and drive change through HS&W initiatives and programs. * Experience in understanding and applying OHS legislation and guidance. * Demonstrated experience in document control with experience in compiling metrics and reports. * Computing skills in Microsoft Office packages. * Sound conceptual, analytical and problem-solving skills. * Strong collaborative skills and an engaging manner with the ability to influence and gain assistance from others.
