IMG is seeking a Health and Safety Coordinator to work with the Health and Safety Manager along with the respective plant managers to manage the overall effectiveness of all Health and Safety Programs and to provide expert knowledge and skills to promote and generate a positive and safe working environment. Position: Health and Safety Coordinator
Reports to: Environmental Health & Safety Manager
Wage Rate: 45k – 60k
Type: Full-Time Position
Location: 974 Lakeshore Road East, Mississauga
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Advise management on all Health & Safety related matters
· Coordinate initiatives to promote Health & Safety in the workplace.
· Oversee on- site Health and Safety orientations to full time, temporary staff and visitors
· Implements and oversees the organizations Health & Safety programs within the five site locations
· Work in tandem with Human Resources partners on issues related to performance management, investigations and return to work initiatives
· Initiate H&S training to ensure compliance with OHSA and the organizations Health & Safety policies and procedures
· Organize and participates in the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC)
· Supports the various teams in the investigation and reporting of all accidents and incidents within the facilities. Ensure coaching, documentation and corrective action for the prevention of reoccurrence is completed
· Participate in the companies Safety Groups program and update the various departments as necessary
· Verify that certifications are obtained and monitor to ensure compliance for people and/or equipment
· Track and compile H&S statistics that are reported to Management on a regular basis
· Ensure that their presence is seen on the production floor on a regular basis
· Maintain and organize safety records and documentation
· Ensures compliance with provincial H&S related legislation including MOL and WSIB requirements and guidelines.
· Develop, implement and oversee return to work and modified work programs in partnership with management and the respective employees
· Review and update the companies H&S policies and procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation and industry practices.
· Responsible for the continuous improvement of the companies Health and Safety programs
· Perform other tasks or jobs as required
Qualifications:
· Post-secondary education or a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a similar position (any combination of equivalent education and /or experience will be considered)
· Experience in a health safety role in a manufacturing facility is preferred
· Current knowledge of provincial OHS legislation and regulations for Industrial Establishments, MOL and WSIB regulations and requirements
· JHSC certification training is preferred
· Current CPR and First Aid training certification considered an asset
Languages: English - Required

Valid G Class License & Reliable Vehicle - Required
