Primary Responsibilities Champion the company Health and Safety Program. Work closely with Site Superintendents and General Contractors in spearheading safe work procedures and practices. Promote job site safety culture. Perform site safety inspections. Create, evaluate, and implement health and safety programs, documents, and strategies. Assist with WorkSafe injury management and return to work programs. Report on monthly safety analytics and metrics. Work together in providing site safety orientations and on-going job training. Monitor health, safety & environment compliance of employees and sub-contractors. Investigate workplace incidents and near misses. Conduct health & safety meetings and toolbox talks. Assist site Supervisors with site specific fall protection plans. Assist in annual COR audit certification. Skills and Qualifications Required previous experience working in a Safety position. Education in Human Resources, Safety, or a related field considered an asset. Previous construction experience considered an asset. Required drivers license with a clean drivers abstract. Valid first aid certificate. Knowledge of WorkSafe regulations, policies, guidelines, and standards. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong organization, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Familiar with Microsoft office (Excel, word). Why work at RWC?
