JOB DESCRIPTION - HEALTH AND SAFETY OFFICER

We are looking for a qualified and proactive Health and Safety Officer to join our team and oversee safety practices across our fabrication and construction sites located between Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will ensure that all safety standards are followed according to UAE labor laws and international safety guidelines, minimizing risk to people and operations.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Officer (2+ years preferred).
  • Relevant certification in Occupational Health and Safety (NEBOSH IGC or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of UAE labor and safety laws and site safety requirements.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently across multiple site locations.
  • UAE driving license (preferred).
Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training.
  • Identify potential hazards and recommend solutions to reduce risks.
  • Lead incident investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective actions.
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and audit records.
  • Deliver safety inductions and toolbox talks to site workers.
  • Monitor the use of PPE and ensure all safety equipment is maintained.
  • Liaise with government authorities and ensure compliance with local regulations (e.g., DM, Trakhees, AD EHSMS).
  • Support emergency response planning and drills.
