HSE Advisor – Solar Farm – FIFO – Mount Isa UGL is a leader in Australia’s energy transition, delivering largescale solar and battery projects end‑to‑end, having installed 13 utility-scale solar farms nationwide. The HSE Advisor will support a new project that extends existing Mount Isa solar assets. The project builds on UGL’s earlier work in Mount Isa, which was successfully completed in 2021. Thew new project is a greenfield extension, connecting into an existing live solar farm, creating an interesting mix of new construction and brownfield interfaces. About the role The Health, Safety & Environmental Advisor’s will support site delivery on a largescale renewable energy project. You’ll report to the onsite HSE Manager and work closely with the broader project delivery team. The role is hands-on and split between work in the field and the site office. It’s about strong fundamentals: being visible on site, driving compliance, supporting safe work, and applying UGL’s HSE Management System consistently. Key responsibilities Provide practical, day‑to‑day HSE support across site activities. Support pre‑starts, toolbox talks and on‑site safety conversations. Complete regular site walks and inspections to keep standards on track. Assist with incident reporting, investigations and follow‑up actions. Shape your career with an Individual Development Plan. About you Experience as an HSE Advisor in heavy industry (construction, power, oil & gas, mining or similar). Willingness to FIFO on a 10/4 roster and be able to travel via Brisbane for early flights to Mount Isa. Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety (or equivalent). Ability to work autonomously while remaining highly team focused. Strong site presence and practical approach to compliance.
