About the Role This role supports the implementation and continual improvement of Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) systems across Sime Darby Motors New Zealand. As an HSE Advisor, you will partner closely with leaders and teams across the business to strengthen risk management, support compliance with New Zealand legislation and company standards, enhance safety culture, and contribute to the delivery of the Group HSE Strategy and sustainability objectives. You will play a key role in identifying hazards and emerging risks, supporting proactive risk management, and ensuring HSE systems, processes and digital tools are applied effectively across the organization. What We’re Looking For We’re seeking a proactive, values‑driven HSE professional who is passionate about health, safety, environmental and wellbeing outcomes. You will bring a collaborative approach, strong influencing skills, and the ability to work effectively with leaders and frontline teams to embed safe, consistent and efficient operations. This role suits someone who enjoys continuous improvement, takes a risk‑based approach to HSE, and is committed to making a positive impact on people and business performance. What You Will Do Support leaders and teams, in our central region, to meet HSE responsibilities and PCBU obligations. Strengthen risk management through proactive hazard identification and continuous improvement. Apply and support HSE systems, processes and digital tools across the business. Promote a positive safety culture through engagement, coaching and collaboration. Deliver practical, high‑quality HSE advice aligned to legislation, company standards and the Group HSE Strategy. What You Will Bring A strong personal commitment to health, safety, environmental and wellbeing outcomes. Relevant HSE qualification or equivalent practical experience. Working knowledge of New Zealand HSE legislation and best practice. Experience in an HSE advisory or support role, ideally in a multi‑site or complex environment. Strong communication, risk assessment and problem‑solving skills, with a collaborative and pragmatic approach.
