Description

Harvard Developments is seeking an experienced and dynamic HSE Manager to lead safety initiatives across our portfolio of retail, office and industrial properties across Western Canada. Based in either our Edmonton or Calgary office, this role will oversee a team of HSE professionals and collaborate with our property management teams across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
As a Canadian Registered Safety Professional, you will champion a culture of safety, ensuring alignment with Harvard’s HSE objectives. You will support contractor compliance, collaborate with property and facility teams, and provide training, mentorship, and coaching to staff.
We’re looking for a confident, professional leader who earns the respect of colleagues, contractors, and clients. The role requires regular travel across the Prairie provinces to support operations and personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) certification; NCSO designation and/or diploma in occupational health & safety; valid Occupational First Aid Level II equivalency
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive HSE experience, ideally in real estate, construction, or facility management, with minimum 5 years of experience in leading and mentoring other HSE professionals
  • Proven ability to develop and implement HSE programs, conduct hazard assessments, and lead incident investigations
  • Customer services focused with the ability to create lasting positive relationships, both within the company and within the greater industry
  • Skilled in creating safe work procedures across diverse environments, including emergency preparedness and contractor operations
  • Strong communication, computer literacy, and customer service orientation
  • Valid provincial driver’s license with clean abstract
