Primary Job Title: Health, Safety & Environment Manager/ Distribution Supervisor
Location: Allentown, PA (Onsite)
Shift/Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, normal business hours

SUMMARY:

The Distribution Supervisor will be responsible for supervising employees and operations at the Distribution Center. This includes establishing performance standards, monitoring employee performance, and managing team engagement and labor goals. The role also ensures compliance with all operating procedures and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, OSHA, DEA, DOT, CFR, IATA, IMO, etc.).
This is a hands-on leadership role requiring the ability to manage a team of 20–30 individuals with at least 5 years of experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to wear PPE, including respirators, hard hats, goggles, chemical-resistant suits, gloves, and safety shoes as needed.
  • Must be able to lift and/or push up to 60 pounds.
  • Activities include sitting, standing, walking, reaching overhead, stooping, kneeling, twisting, crouching, or crawling.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 4+ years of supervisory experience or successful completion of a Supervisor Trainee Program.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • 4+ years of warehouse experience.
  • Prior operational experience in a Distribution Center or Chemical Manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Train employees and maintain corporate quality systems (including ISO registration).
  • Participate in the talent selection and hiring process.
  • Engage in performance management discussions to develop and retain employees.
  • Maintain employee relations through effective communication, team meetings, and daily interaction.
  • Enforce safety, work, and housekeeping standards.
  • Evaluate methods and recommend improvements to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Ensure proper handling and training regarding hazardous chemicals.
  • Participate in emergency hazardous materials response, medical response, or evacuation teams.
  • Complete near-miss and incident/accident investigation reports.
  • Conduct compliance audits for procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain training documents and SOPs for assigned areas.
  • Schedule workload and staffing daily to maximize safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Maintain documentation, including records, productivity logs, and activity reports.
  • Monitor labor and material usage to manage costs.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives and cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations in receiving, storing, packing, and shipping hazardous materials (DOT, CFR, IATA, IMO).
