Kentec is recruiting a HSE Manager to ensure a safe and suitable working environment which is compliant with current health, safety and environmental legislation. Reporting to the Compliance Director this person will be responsible for all health, safety and environmental matters across our manufacturing facility in Dartford and R & D centre in Rochester. We are looking for an enthusiastic professional to champion a health, safety, and environmental awareness culture throughout our company.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & PERSON SPECIFICATION:

  • At minimum 3 years’ experience in the deployment of Health & Safety awareness.
  • NEBOSH Qualification at a diploma level (or equivalent).
  • Understanding of Environmental Management Systems (ISO14001)
  • Good interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Strong reporting and IT skills
Responsibilities

RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Maintaining the company’s health, safety and environmental policies and procedures, and ensuring these are reviewed and updated on a regular basis.
  • Establish that the processes and procedures are in place to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Monitoring and reporting on health, safety and environmental KPIs.
  • Providing relevant training to employees regarding health, safety and environment.
  • Performing risk assessments and presenting remedial and preventative actions to the Senior Management Team
  • Keeping up to date with health, safety and environmental legislation and ensuring the company is compliant.
  • Carrying out accident and incident investigation and managing safety initiatives.
  • Performing environmental and safety audits and inspections on a regular basis.
  • Maintaining the companies Environmental Management System certification (ISO14001).
  • Taking responsibility for the management of contractors conducting facilities related functions.
