Kirkland Associates are seeking an experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our clients team working within a challenging manufacturing environment. As Health & Safety Manager, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that operations adhere to the highest quality standards, including ISO9001, 14001, and 45001 accreditations. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace, where the well-being of our team is the top priority.

Health & Safety Manager Responsibilities:

  • Investigate any near misses, hazards, and accidents, and implement corrective measures to prevent recurrence
  • Conduct regular audits of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure that all staff members understand their responsibilities regarding safety in the workplace
  • Hold department managers accountable when policy and procedures are not adhered to
  • Produce method statements and risk assessments as required
  • Collaborate with the team to foster a culture of safety and compliance

Required Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years of site and CDM experience
  • Proven track record of successfully implementing health and safety policies and procedures in a similar environment
