ABOUT THE ROLE - DFYNE YOUR CAREER
First off, let me introduce myself (the person behind the keyboard here). It’s not typical in a job spec, but I think it’s important you get to know who you may be working closely with. I’m Jacquie, and I head up the People & Culture team here at DFYNE. I’m looking for someone who’s going to help elevate DFYNE’s safety standards, ensuring a culture of safety for everyone involved.
The culture here at DFYNE is something we’re incredibly proud of, so we need you to fully immerse yourself in understanding the essence of what makes our environment unique. I need you to know that what’s worked for you elsewhere will need to be adapted to fit our ways of doing things! We want you to bring your knowledge and insight, but we’ll need you to learn the DFYNE way when it comes to safety practices and procedures.
We’re looking for someone who thrives on creative problem-solving and adaptability. A rigid, “this is the way it has to be done” approach won’t be effective here. We need someone who can think outside the box and find ways to lower risks and make things happen, without restricting us. Telling us what can’t be done simply isn’t the DFYNE way— we need you to tackle challenges head-on and provide solutions, so we can move forward confidently.
Ultimately, I need to be able to fully trust that the safety and well-being of everyone at DFYNE is safe in your hands, without worrying that you’re going to tie us up in red tape and restrict everyone.
We’re looking for someone who can own the health and safety processes from start to finish—identifying risks, implementing safety measures, and ensuring every team member is properly trained.
When things are quieter, we’ll also rely on you to lend a hand in other areas. “That’s not my job” doesn’t apply here!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures.
· Conduct risk assessments and site audits.
· Provide training and guidance on health and safety practices.
· Investigate accidents and recommend corrective actions.
· Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and industry standards.
· Support with health and safety inductions.
