The Role:
We are currently looking to recruit a Health and Safety Officer to join our East Regional Office team in SVP House, Dublin 1. The post holder will have responsibility for ensuring that SVP’s East Region meets all its statutory obligations in health and safety management across all its sites and operations throughout Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow and complies with all SVP health, safety and environmental policies.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Relevant qualification or degree in Health & Safety or a related field.
  • Essential to have at least five years’ experience working as a Health and Safety Officer.
  • Understanding of statutory requirements on health and safety in sectors relevant to this role (Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Regulation, Housing Regulations, HIQA regulations etc)
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk assessments, risk registers, safety auditing, safety inspections and data gathering and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal, communications, listening and influencing skills with the ability to build relationships.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation with stakeholders.
  • An excellent team player with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Demonstrate resilience and work with diverse stakeholders to achieve objectives
  • Good administration skills, (MS Office, spreadsheets, CRM, Database admin etc.) and proven ability to analyse and present numerical data into management reports.
  • Full driving licence and have access to own transport.
