Overview / نظرة عامة The Safety Section Head supports the implementation of Titan Egypt’s Health & Safety (H&S) standards across the assigned site/plant. The role ensures compliance with Group H&S guidelines, national legislation, and internal procedures through regular inspections, incident follow-up, and employee coaching. The SH contributes to maintaining a safe work environment by identifying hazards, supporting risk mitigation measures, and promoting a strong safety culture among employees and contractors. Responsibilities / المسؤوليات Operational Safety Implementation Ensure daily compliance with Titan H&S standards in the plant/site. Conduct regular safety inspections, walkdowns, and risk assessments. Identify hazards and unsafe practices and follow up on corrective actions. Support the implementation of emergency preparedness plans, drills, and response procedures. Incident & Risk Management Lead the initial investigation of incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions. Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented on time. Maintain accurate records and ensure entry of incidents into the reporting system. Monitor high-risk activities and ensure proper control measures are in place. Training & Safety Awareness Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and refresher training for employees and contractors. Support building a strong safety culture through awareness campaigns and coaching. Ensure employees understand and comply with safety rules, PPE requirements, and safe work procedures. Compliance & Auditing Support internal and external safety audits and follow up on action plans. Ensure compliance with local legislation, TITAN Group policies, and site-specific procedures. Participate in periodic inspections with regulatory authorities when needed. Reporting & Documentation Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports on KPIs, incidents, and observations. Ensure all documentation—permits, risk assessments, forms—is properly maintained. Provide insights and trends to the HSE Manager for continuous improvement. Contractor Safety Management Ensure all contractors comply with Titan H&S standards before and during work. Conduct onboarding sessions and monitor contractors' adherence to safe practices. Review Work documentation for contractor activities. Health & Wellness Support Support the implementation of health programs (medical surveillance, wellness campaigns). Coordinate with occupational health providers on routine and special assessments. Qualifications / المؤهلات Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Safety, or related field. Experience: 5–8 years in HSE roles within cement industrial field . Certifications: NEBOSH IGC or equivalent preferred. Skills: Strong communication, risk assessment, incident investigation, knowledge of Egyptian safety regulations, and familiarity with H&S management systems (ISO 45001).
