JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for Health & Safety data and process management, analysis, and reporting for the business unit he/she serves. He/She performs data entry, data mining, queries, and audits for the Health & Safety function. This position supports operations to build skills and capabilities for effective H&S process management within operations aligned with the UPS H&S Strategy. This position supports with implementation of new projects and risk assessment. Additionally, the position includes the role H&S prevention advisor working with employee representation, management and third parties, including H&S and Compliance Authorities to identify and mitigate current and future risks.

• Maintain knowledge of Health & Safety technology and systems to ensure proficiency and makes suggestions to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of current H&S processes;
• Gather and organizes data to support the continuous improvement processes within operations and support functions as applicable;
• Run reports for auto accidents, injuries, and safety training to provide information to Health and Safety and business unit management for quality and effective H&S management;
• Verify injury and accident reports are complete and accurate for each UPS facility;
• Support functions with skill building training and communicating expectations to leadership;
• Support data and root cause analyses to ensure corrective and preventive measures are aligned with identified problem areas;
• Work with Health and Safety management to identify required information and Key Performance Indicators for Health and Safety process management and reporting;
• Conduct on-area observations and site visits and assists with training to mitigate risk.
