MajorDuties
As a Health Scientist (Informatics), you will: Provide scientific advice in designing, coordinating, implementing, and maintaining laboratory/bioinformatics quality processes and procedures, including standard operating procedures; tools and systems monitoring reproducibility and reliability; quality control programs; and proficiency testing programs. Implement scientific policies and procedures on quality assurance and quality control practices and principles. Collaborate and provide scientific advice to a variety of public health organizations to synthesize and implement laboratory/bioinformatics quality policies and directions for future development. Work closely with IT specialists and other health informatics scientists and specialists in the development of quality assurance and control processes, programs, and systems. Identifiy and analyze issues and their impact on laboratory genomics, bioinformatics, and genomic epidemiology that are critical to the public health community at large.
