The Health Sensing Hardware team develops innovative and groundbreaking health sensing technologies and features, and integrates them into Apple’s products. Wearable health sensors delivered by this team have ushered in a new way of thinking in how people manage their health by providing continuous, real-time monitoring of vital signs, early disease detection, and a shift from reactive treatment to preventative care. Join us in delivering health sensor technologies at the intersection of consumer products and medical devices. DESCRIPTION We are seeking a candidate with a strong technical foundation and a passion for applying systems engineering principles across the full product life cycle of complex health sensors and medical devices features. You will work closely with product collaborators as well as domain experts to derive system requirements, develop the system architecture, conduct design trade studies, and oversee verification and validation activities for our sensor platforms. You will play a key role in coordinating activities across value streams by applying systems thinking across platforms and features. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Strong background in one or more of the following fields: Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Machine Learning & Statistics. Systems Architect, Systems Engineer, or Hardware Architect experience. Technical leader able to bridge and coordinate broad multi-disciplinary teams. BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Masters/PhD in a relevant field. Experience with biosignal acquisition and signal processing. Experience with medical device development with exposure to regulatory and quality systems. Experience in developing systems engineering processes and best practices for a business unit or organization, or introducing existing processes to new teams.
