We are seeking a curious and self-driven server software engineer to join Apple’s Health team to contribute to efforts supporting Apple’s health research platform and tools. Our work helps to advance health research and supports the next generation of innovation in our Health products. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to enable teams across the company to conduct health research and ensure that research participant data is safe, private, and secure. DESCRIPTION As a member of the team you’ll have the opportunity to work with specialists in their field to expand the functionality of the Health app and other health features on iOS and Apple Watch and support the broader health related efforts at Apple. This position requires a self-motivated engineer with strong technical and interpersonal skills to handle responsibilities including: - Implementing new features in the Health space - Prototyping new ideas to help with initial feature definition - Communicating ideas to the Apple design team and other cross functional teams - Participating in architecture and code reviews - Building internal tools as needed to help ship high quality software MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS iOS development experience Experience with both Objective C & Swift Experience with iOS frameworks such as UIKit Proven software architecture experience Bachelors degree in related field PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS An enthusiasm for user-focused design and shipping high-quality technology. Creative thinker and strong problem solver with meticulous attention to detail. Passion for debugging difficult problems and driving results with multi-functional teams. Excellent communication skills to facilitate close interaction with development teams, management, and other organizations within Apple. A passion for health and health-related technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

As a member of the team, you will implement new features in the Health space and prototype new ideas for initial feature definition. You will also communicate ideas to the design team and participate in architecture and code reviews.
