JOIN OUR OUTPATIENT DIRECT TEAM AS A HEALTH SUPPORT OFFICER

Are you passionate about making a difference in healthcare from the comfort of your home? We’re looking for a customer service superstar to join our vibrant Outpatient Direct Team as a Health Support Officer (HSO). In this role, you’ll help WA public hospitals manage outpatient appointments across a range of specialties and clinics, all while delivering exceptional service over the phone.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Health Support Officer, you’ll be the friendly first point of contact for patients who need to:

  • Cancel or reschedule outpatient appointments
  • Update their contact details
  • Receive general information about their upcoming visits

You’ll play a key role in ensuring patients feel supported, informed, and cared for, every step of the way.

THE ROLE AT A GLANCE

  • Permanent, Full-Time (37.5 hours/week)
  • 100% Work From Home - just bring fast, reliable internet and a private workspace
  • 8-hour shifts scheduled between 7:30am–5:30pm WST, Monday to Friday
  • Paid, face-to-face training from 3 November 2025 (8:30am–4:30pm) at our Medibank Perth retail store, 55 St Georges Terrace
  • After training, transition to your agreed roster working remotely
  • You’ll be part of a high-performing team handling over 300,000 calls annually, so comfort with fast-paced, high-volume environments is essential
  • Expect to navigate multiple screens and WA Health systems with ease — we’ll equip you with the tools and support to succeed
