Responsibilities
  • Provide consultation services to the command and subordinate facilities on interpretation and development of the requirements within the Credentialing/Privileging arena.
  • Ensure privileged health care providers are qualified and competent to meet the needs of the population and maintain accreditation by the Joint Commission.
  • Collect and report data in the Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS).
  • Compile information relative to the Credentials Certification, Registration, and Graduate Medical Education Programs to track results for reports to the command.
  • Serve as the facility administrator for Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS).
  • Runs reports to respond to command queries and analyze the quality of data in Centralized Credentials Quality Assurance System (CCQAS).
  • Adapt general administrative principles, practices and policies to meet the specialized requirements of the credentials program.
  • Conduct internal reviews and audits to assure activities are in compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Monitor adverse actions to ensure appropriate data is available for privileging and re-privileging.
  • Advise the Deputy Commander for Clinical Services on possible courses of action.
  • Supervise employees within the department.
