Health Unit Coordinator - NICU at Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center in Torrance, CA. This position is Per Diem and will work 8-hour variable shifts. Under direct supervision, the Patient Services Technician is accountable to the bedside RN and Nurse Leader to facilitate a safe and secure environment for the patient, family and providers in the department in completion of the duties delegated to them for the shift and maintaining clear communication between the needs of the patient through the RN and Nurse Leader. Required Qualifications: * Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology course or successful completion of hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire. * 1 year Unit Secretary or Nurse Assistant in a comparable size facility, preferably within the same or similar specialty.
