OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team . This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office, providing support in various administrative tasks while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The ideal candidate MUST LOVE KIDS, will possess a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding, as well as experience with medical records systems. This position can progress into a full time billing position-if desired.

SKILLS

  • Proficient understanding of medical terminology and coding practices, and medical billing processes.
  • Experience with medical office operations and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems. We use TheraPlatform.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

  • Manage patient scheduling, confirming appointments, and handling cancellations efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, ensuring all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulations.
  • Process patient information and insurance verification and follow up.
  • Assist with medical billing , communicate timely follow-up on outstanding accounts with supervisors.
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding their inquiries, appointments, and billing issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure seamless patient care and accurate record-keeping.
