Description

St. Hedwig Hospital

The Alexianer St. Hedwig Hospital Berlin is part of Alexianer St. Hedwig Clinics Berlin GmbH , an academic teaching hospital of Charité . At two locations – in Berlin-Mitte and Treptow-Köpenick – over 2,500 employees care for around 150,000 patients annually in 17 somatic and psychiatric clinics.

In psychiatry, the individual is at the center of everything we do. Our goal is to support older adults on their journey towards a meaningful and, as far as possible, independent life. We work according to the Wedding Model , which is based on multi-professional collaboration, participation, and personal responsibility . Elements such as recovery, patient-centered care, empowerment , and the involvement of family members shape our therapeutic approach.

Location : Trauma Outpatient Clinic Berlin

The trauma clinic supports people who have been victims of violence. Following an experience of physical or psychological violence, symptoms of severe psychological distress such as low mood, nightmares, anxiety, restlessness, and flashbacks can occur in some cases. If these symptoms persist, they can lead to post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or depression. Our trauma clinic offers early support in coping with the consequences of trauma.
