Description

We are looking for an energetic Admissions Coordinator to join our Admissions and Marketing team! We are looking for someone who goes above and beyond to help others and their team. As the Admissions Coordinator, you will be a key part in the success of Rio Vista Post Acute and Rehabilitation!
This position requires you to work rotating weekends. A typical shift would be from 9am to 5:30pm but, could fluctuate depending on the needs of the facility.

SKILLS

  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Customer service attitude
  • Skilled Nursing experience is a big plus
  • Knowledge of referral software such as Navi Health, All Scripts and Strata is preferred

Responsibilities
  • Communicate with the Case Managers at the hospital on potential admissions.
  • Coordinate paperwork, verifications, including insurances and other payor sources, and in making other general preparations for new admissions.
  • Respond quickly and efficiently through different technology platforms with the hospital systems in the area.
  • Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-department personnel, as well as other departments within the facility.
  • Obtain the resident/guardian’s signature on all required permits, releases, authorizations, etc.
  • Maintain a current listing of all residents, their level of care, and assigned room numbers.
  • Attach preadmission documentation to admission papers as appropriate.
  • Conduct facility tours with potential residents and family members.
