Responsibilities

As a Community Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing compassionate and high-quality care. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Personal Care: Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other personal hygiene needs.
  • Meal Support: Helping with meal preparation and ensuring clients receive proper nutrition.
  • Mobility Assistance: Supporting clients with mobility, including physical activities and safe movement around their home.
  • Medication Administration: Administering prescribed medications following appropriate training and guidelines.
  • Companionship: Providing emotional support and companionship to enhance clients’ well-being and reduce isolation.
  • Household Support: Assisting with household tasks to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment.
  • Tailored Care: Delivering specialised care tailored to each individual client’s needs and preferences.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately documenting and reporting the care provided to maintain high standards and continuity of care.
  • Complex Care: Delivering advanced care for specific service users, such as managing gastrostomy and tracheostomy care (full training provided).
