Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for exceptional Band 3 Health Care Assistants who are looking to progress to Apprenticeship Nursing Associate or a qualified Band 4 Apprentice Nursing Associate to join us in our Brent Community Nursing Twilight and Night Service. The service is run from 4.00pm to midnight and from midnight to 8:30 am including weekends and Bank Holidays. This is a fixed post position with the possibility of the post becoming permanent in Brent at the end of this contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Health Care Assistant will provide a mixture of general and specific care to a group of patients under the guidance and supervision of a registered nurse or allied health professional. The HCA will work in a variety of settings including community centres, clinics and patient/carers own homes.
The post holder will be expected to become proficient and competent in their area of practice by undertaking competency assessments specific to the area of clinical practice.
The HCA will promote optimum independence and individualised client-centred care to a delegated caseload.
The post holder will also support the Community Nursing Team to deliver against key performance indicators and maintain quality of the service.
