We have an exciting opportunity for a second healthcare assistant to join our expanding county-wide service in Cornwall. The role would sit within a supportive and innovative team, delivering care in community clinic settings across the county.
The post holder will carry out physical monitoring for children & young people with eating disorders, who are under the care of CYPEDS. Regularly working without direct supervision involving direct care to patients and carers to support the registered clinicians, and with the support of consultant paediatricians as needed.
A clear escalation process is in place to provide safety and containment for the staff member, should patients need escalating to a clinician for additional support, or a hospital admission need arranging.
The healthcare assistant would receive regular supervision and training.
Physical monitoring of children & young people with eating disorders in line with MEED guidelines.
To collaborate in the delivery of healthcare with patients and with members of the team
To meet the needs of the patient through collaborative working.
This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.
