Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Ent Clinics Sellinge Surgery and Northgate Medical Practice, Kent Monday (Sellinge): 9:00 am 2:00 pm Wednesday (Sellinge): 8:30 am 5:30 pm Thursday (Sellinge): 9:00 am 2:00 pm Friday (NMP): 8:30 am 5:30 pm (morning: usual HCA duties; afternoon: ENT clinic) Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Healthcare Assistant to provide essential support in Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) clinics. The successful candidate will assist clinical staff with patient care, preparation, and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of ENT outpatient services. Key Responsibilities: Assist clinical staff during ENT consultations and procedures, including preparing and positioning patients. Prepare and maintain clinical environments, ensuring equipment and instruments are clean, sterilised, and ready for use.
Support patients by providing comfort and reassurance before, during, and after procedures. Adhere to infection control policies and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. Essential Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a Healthcare Assistant, preferably in ENT or general practice setting. Basic knowledge of ENT anatomy and common procedures is desirable but not essential.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work empathetically with patients of all ages. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good organisational skills and attention to detail. Flexible and adaptable to changing clinic needs and schedules.
