Job Title: Health Care Assistant/Phlebotomist
Responsible to: Partners / GPs / Business Manager/Practice Manager
Job Purpose: To provide a high-quality care service based on the needs of the Practice population which includes treatment, screening, preventative care, and patient education. Assisting GPs/PN/NA
Duties and Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS:

HCA & Phlebotomy Qualification or equivalent - Essential
Training in chronic disease management - Essential
Training in anticoagulation management - Desirable
Educated to GCSE Level or above - Essential

EXPERIENCE:

Experience of dealing with Long Term Conditions - Essential
Phlebotomy - Essential
HCA working in Primary Care - Essential
Health Promotion - Desirable
Smoking cessation - Desirable
Working with EMIS Web - Desirable

SKILLS:

IT skills (MS Office, Internet etc) - Essential
People skills - Essential
Time Management - Essential

KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of clinical governance - Essential
Knowledge of clinical audits - Desirable
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £12.75 per hour
Expected hours: 37.5 per week
