About the Role
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants to join our team within a residential care home setting.
You will play a vital role in supporting residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, choice and overall wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist residents with personal care, including washing, dressing and toileting
- Support residents with mobility and daily living activities
- Assist with meals and feeding where required
- Monitor and record residents’ health and wellbeing
- Provide emotional support and companionship
- Maintain a clean, safe and comfortable environment
- Follow individual care plans and support residents in line with their assessed needs
- Report any changes, concerns or risks to senior staff
- Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, infection control and other relevant policies and procedures
- Maintain accurate and professional care records
Requirements
Applicants must have:
- Previous experience in a care or support role
- A caring, patient and respectful approach
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Willingness to undertake ongoing training and development
- A valid DBS or willingness to complete the required DBS process
- Up-to-date All-in-One Mandatory Training, which must include the required practical elements
- Practical Manual Handling training
- Practical Basic Life Support training
