JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home or home care setting. This position requires excellent communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the well-being of our clients. A valid driving licence is preferred for this role, as it may involve travelling between locations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential.
  • Strong IT skills for maintaining records and using healthcare software.
  • Proficient in English, both spoken and written, for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Ability to drive is an advantage for transporting clients or travelling between locations.
  • A caring attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those in your care.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required by the needs of the service.

Responsibilities
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
  • Support the implementation of individual care plans tailored to each resident’s needs.
  • Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient care and report any changes in health status to the nursing staff.
  • Help with meal preparation and feeding when necessary.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for all residents by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in healthcare practices.
