Description

Role: Healthcare Assistant
Location: Saint Catherine’s Hospice, Scarborough
Contract Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities Available
Salary: £24,441 per annum
At Saint Catherine’s, we believe that excellent care begins with a compassionate and skilled team. As we expand our services – including the launch of our new Respite Care provision – we are looking to recruit committed and caring Healthcare Assistants (HCAs) to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a values-led organisation delivering specialist palliative and end-of-life care to patients across Scarborough and the surrounding areas. Whether you’re experienced or new to the care sector, if you are passionate about providing outstanding person-centred care, we would love to hear from you.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for individuals who are:

  • Kind, compassionate, and committed to delivering high-quality care
  • Excellent communicators, with strong interpersonal skills and empathy
  • Able to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Reliable, flexible, and responsive to the needs of patients and their families
  • Willing to learn and committed to professional development
  • Previous experience in a healthcare, care home, or hospice setting is desirable but not essential – full training and induction will be provided for the right candidates.

We also welcome applications from those with experience in caring for individuals with frailty, long-term conditions, dementia, or complex needs.
