A very exciting opportunity has arisen to join Shouldham ward as a Healthcare Assistant. We are a 12 bedded unit, provide high quality compassionate and effective care for out haematology/ oncology/ palliative patients who are undergoing cancer treatments. Working closely with nurses, doctors and other health care professionals, you will support patient’s daily activities, monitor their wellbeing and ensure a comfortable and dignified care and experience.

Assist patients with personal care , including washing dressing and toileting.
Support patients with reassurance to patients and their families.
Help patients with eating and drinking monitoring dietary intake as required.
Take and record vital signs.
Assist monitoring patients for side effects of side effects of chemotherapy, radiotherapy or other treatments.
Support infection control measures to protect immunocompromised patients.
help with wound care, stoma care and management of medical devise under supervision.
Assist with safe disposal of clinical waste and maintaining a clean environment.
