FULL JOB DESCRIPTION:

Healthcare Assistants are required in Ludlow, Shropshire. We are looking for more than 4+ HCA/Support Workers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• PMVA or MAPA trained candidates will be given top priority.
• Previous experience in catheter and stoma care is essential.
• Knowledge of infection control and safe handling of medical equipment.
• Caring, empathetic, and patient nature.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Relevant care training or willingness to undertake further training.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Assistant to join our care team in Ludlow Region. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in personal care, including catheter and stoma management, and be based locally or able to travel to Ludlow with ease.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Emptying, attaching, and removing catheter bags safely and hygienically.
• Removing, cleaning, and replacing stoma bags in line with care plans and infection control guidelines.
• Assisting service users with daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence.
• Monitoring and reporting changes in a client’s condition to senior staff or healthcare professionals.
• Maintaining accurate records of care provided.
