Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with personal care activities, monitoring patient wellbeing, and reporting changes in condition to supervising healthcare professionals. The Healthcare Assistant will help with safe manual handling tasks, support medication routines as directed, and adhere to health and safety procedures to maintain a safe care environment. The role also involves maintaining accurate records, using digital tools for remote coordination, and communicating clearly and empathetically with patients, families, and colleagues. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with other healthcare team members to ensure consistent, compassionate care delivery.Qualifications Strong patient care skills, including assisting with daily living activities and supporting patient comfort and dignity.
Competence in manual handling techniques and safe mobility assistance, following relevant guidelines and training.
Knowledge of basic medicine concepts and ability to follow instructions related to medication support under supervision.
Understanding and application of health & safety standards, infection control practices, and risk awareness in care settings.
Effective interpersonal skills, including clear communication, empathy, and the ability to build trust with patients and colleagues.
Previous experience in a healthcare or care assistant role is beneficial.
Relevant healthcare certification or training (e.g., care assistant, nursing support, first aid) is an advantage.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and use basic digital tools for documentation and communication.
