Position Title: Billing and Claims Specialist (Must be able to work from home and come to office wkly / hybrid position)

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Billing and Claims Specialist plays a key role in ensuring timely and accurate insurance claim processing, payment posting, and patient account management. This role requires close coordination with insurance companies, providers, and patients to resolve billing issues and support the financial operations of the clinic.

• Healthcare Billing: 1 year (Required

• Collaborate with a 3-person remote billing team to manage insurance claims, payment posting, patient refunds, and accounts receivable.
• Review and process insurance claims by verifying data in the system prior to submission.
• Post patient credit card payments accurately and in a timely manner.
• Prepare and issue patient refunds as needed.
• Monitor and work on accounts receivable to ensure timely collections.
• Communicate with insurance companies and patients via phone and email to resolve billing questions or discrepancies.
• Submit insurance claims electronically using our clearinghouse.
• Address and resolve clearinghouse denials.
• Assist with end-of-month billing cycle and preparation of patient statements.
• Generate and prepare provider notes and hours reports to support payroll processing.
• Perform other related billing and administrative duties as assigned.
  Job Type: Part-time
  Pay: From $17.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
