OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a Business Analyst to support our NYS client in analyzing and extracting insights from the Medicaid Data warehouse (MDW). We are looking for someone who has attention to detail and who is highly organized. In this role you will need to generate business analysis documentation and create reports and presentations.

MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Public Policy, Health Administration, IT, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably on healthcare or Medicaid projects
  • 2+ years of experience in project support or coordination
  • Experience developing professional reports and presentations (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint)

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of NYS Medicaid operations or similar public health programs
  • Familiarity with JIRA or similar tools for requirements tracking and documentation
  • Experience working with NYS government clients and multidisciplinary teams

  • Collaborate with internal teams and client staff to gather and clarify business requirement

  • Develop user stories, use cases, and process documentation to support system design and implementation
