Description:

HEALTHCARE BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

BearingPoint is one of Europe’s leading independent, partner-led business and technology consultancies. We are recognised as a highly regarded strategic partner for our clients. We are proud to operate as a “boutique-style” cohort of inspired and passionate experts in our field, focusing on innovation, collaboration, and customer success.
We are currently looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our growing Healthcare segment. This new role will not only lead key sales and customer satisfaction initiatives but also play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our activities with Health and Social Care clients.
Globally, our work with Government and Public Services (GPS) is one of our largest segments and we have flourishing Health and Social Care practices in France, Sweden and elsewhere. This is an exciting opportunity to join a company that values and prioritises innovation, collaboration and impact.

THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re seeking a passionate, pro-active and entrepreneurial individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager. In this role you will play a pivotal part in the growth and development of our activities with Health and Social Care clients (NHS and ICB clients, local authorities, national bodies and agencies, private sector healthcare providers and not for profit organisations). You will identify and pursue opportunities through existing relationships, contributing to public tender processes, thought leadership events and participation in conferences. You will use your existing network to generate new business development opportunities. You will build relationships with senior Health and Social Care leaders, seeking to help them transform frontline public service delivery, increase organisational effectiveness and develop internal capability. You will also be a key driver of our employees’ success, helping them develop successful business development skills, capabilities and behaviours.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE / SKILLS

  • Excellent understanding of the Health and Social Care system in the UK, notably the key stakeholders, service delivery challenges and decision-making processes
  • An established personal network which could be leveraged to generate new clients and drive growth within the Health and Social Care systems
  • Strong proposition building, business development (particularly lead generation), sales and negotiation and leadership capabilities
  • Highly structured and organised, passionate, self-starting, proactive and entrepreneurial, someone who is comfortable setting the strategy and direction with a high degree of determination, energy and drive
  • Understanding of likely client needs for management and technology services (e.g. patient pathways for integration of care, programme and change management, business case analysis and development, healthcare technology and data requirements and workforce planning and development)
  • Experience on helping to build and shape a team through demonstrable practice building and followership.
If you think you may not have all the skills and experience we’re looking for, why not take a chance and apply anyway. We’re here to help you grow and develop your skills and experience.
Our primary focus for this role is business development and we are open to discussing various models for the right candidate (full-time, part-time, …) and the potential to participate in some delivery.

Responsibilities:

  • Maximising customer satisfaction and deepening our activities and relationships with existing Health and Social Care clients, acting as a trusted advisor
  • Growing and developing the Health and Social Care practice in the UK by developing leads and opportunities with new clients
  • Identifying opportunities and driving revenue growth, leveraging market trends and engaging with firmwide propositions and Health and Social Care experts
  • Fostering relationships with technology or consulting partner companies active in the Health and Social Care market, creating mixed bid teams for large opportunities
  • Partnering successfully with colleagues across the firm to drive sales efforts end to end, in both business and technology consulting
  • Acting as a business development role model to other team members, driving a high-performance, team-centric and sales-oriented culture
