Responsibilities

THE HOURLY RATE FOR THIS ROLE IS £12.00 AND UP TO £13.15 ACROSS SELECTED LOCATIONS WITHIN LONDON.

Healthcare Clinic Assistants will be the first-person patients see and speak to when they arrive for their clinic appointment. They will deliver care and direction for every patient, responding quickly to their needs. Healthcare Clinic Assistants will be an integral part of the pharmacy services team working in our clinic location.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Healthcare Clinic Assistant you will support the patient throughout the appointment journey, ensuring a warm welcome, collecting relevant information and observing the patient during the post appointment phase before they leave. You can expect your role to include, but not be limited to;

  • Greet patients arriving for pre-booked appointments.
  • Explain to patients how their appointments will work, ensuring they feel well-informed
  • Check patients have an appointment and ensuring they are in the right place at the right time
  • Check and verify patient data with everyone
  • Capture patient data and details relating to appointments on an electronic device
  • Observe patients in the waiting area following their appointment and escalate any potential issues to the appropriate member of the immunisation team
  • Work with sensitivity and complying with required governance, policies and standard operating procedures
  • Compliance with all health and safety rules and procedures to ensure their own personal safety as well as that of other colleagues and patients
  • Being a supportive member of the team, working collaboratively to achieve team and organisational goals
  • You will train in basic first aid skills to support with adverse reactions
