GA Foods is seeking a Healthcare Collections Supervisor to lead the daily operations of our collections team. This role is critical to optimizing cash flow, improving collection efficiency, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal procedures. The ideal candidate will bring leadership, analytical acumen, and customer service excellence to support the financial health of the organization.

Essential Duties:

• Supervise daily collections activity, ensuring team performance meets established KPIs and company standards.
• Monitor collector performance via call reviews, reporting metrics, and weekly account audits.
• Analyze aging reports, recovery trends, and payment patterns to recommend process improvements.
• Manage resolution of disputed claims and high-priority escalations with professionalism and urgency.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and support to collection team members to foster continuous development.
• Develop and implement strategies to recover delinquent accounts while maintaining positive customer relations.
• Collaborate with internal departments (Billing, Customer Service, Legal) to resolve disputes and improve workflow.
• Ensure strict compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDCPA, HIPAA) and internal policies.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
• Participate in audits and assist in implementing corrective action plans when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED – Required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field – Preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of collections experience, including 2+ year in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of collection practices, laws, and compliance standards.
• Proficiency with collections software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Skills & Abilities:

• Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel for financial modeling and analysis.
• Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a high-performing team.
• Strong analytical thinking with a results-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Bonafide, NAV, SAP, or Oracle – Preferred.
• Experience with skip tracing and credit bureau reporting – Preferred.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment and uses standard office equipment including computers, phones, copiers, and filing systems.
Physical Demands:
The role requires regular sitting, walking, and keyboard use. Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds may be required.
