Here, you’ll become an integral part of how GDIT is able to ensure the safety and security of our nation. As a Communications Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of supporting a federal health customer with external and internal communications initiatives. You will play a crucial role in program execution. This role is fully remote! This role has a targeted start date towards the end of 2025/early 2026. Responsibilities: Lead strategic communications to support the mission of a federal healthcare program, ensuring accurate, timely, and consistent messaging to stakeholders including healthcare providers, program participants, and federal partners. Develop and manage outreach campaigns, announcements, and educational materials that translate complex medical, policy, and technical information into clear, accessible language. Serve as the primary communications liaison between program leadership, clinical networks, contractors, and stakeholders. Oversee configuration management processes for health program documents, policies, and technical resources, ensuring version control, traceability, and compliance with federal standards. Maintain and administer document repositories, configuration databases, and change logs to ensure accurate, audit-ready records. Coordinate release and dissemination of controlled documents, guidelines, and clinical protocols. Support preparation and delivery of program briefings, public reports, and presentations to diverse audiences, including medical professionals and policymakers. May be required to supervise a small team. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in communications, public health, health administration, information management, or related field. 5+ years of experience in communications within a healthcare, public health, or federal program environment. Experience producing clear, accurate, and accessible content for diverse audiences, including those without technical or medical backgrounds. Proficiency with document management and configuration control tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, or CMDBs) and MS Office Suite. Knowledge of federal communication guidelines, change management processes, and healthcare compliance requirements. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Preferred Qualifications: Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. PMP, CMII, or similar certification preferred. #GDITFedHealthJobs The likely salary range for this position is $83,300 - $112,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
