Description Experience a summer “Where Adventure Grows!” Girl Scouts – North Carolina Coastal Pines seeks dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to be part of our 2026 Summer Camp Team supporting our overnight camp programs across all Council properties: Camp Mary Atkinson, Camp Graham, Camp Hardee, and Camp Mu-Sha-Ni. We are seeking a Healthcare Consultant to support our overnight camp program at Camp Mary Atkinson. This position may also support smaller program groups operating at Camp Graham, Camp Hardee, and Camp Mu-Sha-Ni throughout the summer. This is a part-time and remote position. Must reside in North Carolina. Position: Healthcare Consultant (part-time and remote) Must reside in North Carolina Location: Camp Mary Atkinson, Selma, NC (and other Council camps as needed) Duration: Summer 2026 (mid-May through the end of July) Compensation: Hourly rate of $25.00 per hour, including housing and meals after training We’re excited to offer summer camp staff the opportunity to earn up to a $500 bonus this summer! Here’s how it works: $250 Mid-Summer Bonus: Camp staff hired for the summer who remain employed through the end of June will receive a $250 bonus. $250 Completion Bonus: Camp staff who remain employed through the end of summer camp will receive a $250 bonus. A Day in the Life: Supervise Campers and Staff: Serves as a resource for on-site camp healthcare staff. Support: Provides regular support to camp healthcare staff through phone and video consultation, and occasional on-site meetings, as needed. Requirements Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the US. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment Visas at this time Must be at least 21 years of age. Physician, Physician Assistant, Nurse Practitioner, or Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed in North Carolina. CPR certified. Current First aid certification and experience in first aid and emergency management. Experience in both children and adult ambulatory care. Desire to work with children and young adults. Community health knowledge. Commitment to the aims and purpose of the Girl Scout movement. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Strong knowledge of health care practices as applicable to youth in community setting. Good judgement and ability to process information quickly and make sound decisions. Availability to respond to calls from camp within 30 minutes. Ability to provide guidance from a distance. Knowledge in safe use and storage of medicines. Physical Aspects of the Job Ability to read and follow directions on medication labels, health forms, physician orders, and parent letters. Ability to use a telephone and computer with ease. Personal access to phone, computer, internet is required. Maintain written record system. Ability to communicate with parents, staff, and administration about camper health concerns. Possess endurance to meet emergency needs.
