Description:
Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for an ICT Integration Support. This position is remote working with the requirement to attend one meeting in Dublin every fortnight.
The successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee working 35 hours per week. This position is also a temporary contract, initially for 12 months with the possibility of being extended. The salary scale for this position ranges from €55,644.00 - €67,981.00, you will accrue 30 days annual leave per annum and also be paid bank holidays.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
- Experience delivering on the system integration requirements for projects/programmes
- A good knowledge, understanding and commitment to the use of health interoperability standards such as HL7 (V2,V3), FHIR
- Experience dealing with 3rd parties and vendors
- Knowledge of Integration and interoperability national and international standards
- Experience with data architecture and application architecture
- Knowledge of standard software tools such as Microsoft office etc.
Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
The MedLIS Phase 2 project aims to extend the national MedLIS solution, building on the successful implementation at Beaumont Hospital. This initiative seeks to standardise laboratory processes, enhance interoperability, and provide a single integrated patient record accessible across all targeted sites.
The primary strategic objective of the MedLIS Phase 2 project is a rapid deployment of MedLIS within Regional Health Areas (RHA) Dublin Midlands & Dublin North East by year end 2026 using a rapid & agile deployment model.
The MedLIS Phase 2 Project will directly support development of the national Electronic Health Care Record and aligns with national strategies including:
- Sláintecare
- Digital for Care 2030
- Draft Strategy for Laboratory Services 2025-2029
Key objectives include:
- Engaging with Oracle Health and local site teams to finalise deployment plans, ensuring alignment with strategies.
- Delivering a seamless transition to MedLIS at Wave 1 and Wave 2 sites through robust planning, staff training, and stakeholder engagement.
- Achieving measurable benefits such as reduced test turnaround times, improved clinician access to results, and enhanced compliance with ISO15189 standards.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Working as part of technology function, ICT Integration Support are expected to assist in the management and delivery of all integration elements as part of the deployment of MedLIS; from initial scoping and planning stages to go-live and onwards, in accordance with the standards, tools and methodologies of the Technology & Transformation PMO
- ICT Integration Support will be expected to report through the primary channels of their relevant workstream
- ICT Integration Support may be allocated to a portfolio of MedLIS aligned integration projects. This is to ensure efficient use and maximisation of resource expertise and availability for the duration of the contract.
